Fried Green Tomatoes

Fried Green Tomatoes

Tomatoes were always a must-have in our garden growing up, but we loved to fry the green tomatoes just as much as having a beautiful ripe red tomato on our dinner table. Every year we had to plant several extra plants just so we could have both fresh ripe tomatoes and fried green tomatoes. If we didn’t plant extras, the poor tomatoes never had a chance to ripen because we couldn’t resist the urge to pluck them when they were green and fry them up. Here is the recipe and process that our mom always used for her fried green tomatoes. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do and don’t forget to make those family memories.
